Line of Smiles

The Line of Smiles is a large slit in a rock wall at the southern end of Julian Rocks, close to the Mohole and reached through the Needles. Its name comes from the line of wobbegong sharks that usually rest inside with only their faces showing. The crack also holds blind sharks, crayfish, small crabs and hundreds of cleaner shrimp. Nudibranchs and cuttlefish turn up from time to time.
