Las Casitas

Many of the rocks are hollow, creating caves, holes and look-throughs, a few of them large enough to swim through. Hard and soft corals coat the rock faces and give shelter to plenty of reef life, and turtles are seen resting in the caves. Because it is shallow, the site is used as an extra dive after introductory courses. One dive centre notes that it can be reached from Mermaid Beach when the current allows, and that it is at its best in summer when visibility is good.
