Scoglio della Nave

Also known as: La Nave · Ship's rock

Legend says the rock is the Phaeacian ship that brought Ulysses home, turned to stone by Poseidon. The south side is the richest, with narrow passages and cavities lined with Parazoanthus, orange Astroides coral and false coral bryozoans, where lobsters and conger eels hide. Tunnels lead to a wall of gorgonians hung with catshark eggs and home to small groupers and forkbeards, with a shrimp cave below it. Centro Sub Campi Flegrei highlights black coral at 33 m among rocks scattered around a large mound.
