Umapura

Also known as: The Edge

Starfish calls this wall alone worth the trip to Ternate: from the top it seems to fall away endlessly. Divernet describes a slope to about 10 m followed by a drop-off of more than 100 m. Overhangs and small crevices along the face hide critters such as frogfish, while barracuda schools, trevally, snappers and turtles move past. Alor Underwater Explorers rates it as a beginner site with minimal current, which makes it a relaxed wall dive.
