Spanish Wall
Between about 18 and 25 m the slope is broken by vertical walls, each roughly 50 m long. Delicate white pulse corals, reminiscent of Spanish lace, grow only in niches sheltered from waves and current. Pink and purple lace corals add colour among the soft corals. Pelagics and larger reef fish appear below 9 m and towards the blue, sharks visit the deeper parts more often, and morays hide for those who look.
