Crescent Reef

Depending on the tide, divers drift either into or out of Gabach Channel. A large school of blackbar barracuda shows up on almost every dive, joined by striped and black snappers, fusiliers, bumphead parrotfish and big groupers. Napoleon wrasse are seen here as well. The site stands out on Yap because schooling scalloped hammerhead sharks have been reported regularly. The scenery is made of steep drop-offs, walls and formations with sunlit holes.
