Cabbage Patch

The site is named after a bank of bright lettuce coral on the wall. Large fissures in the wall face are covered with soft leather corals, and coral heads at about 15 m carry many Christmas tree worms. The shallows above 9 m are rich in colour and reef fish. Deeper down, humphead parrotfish, sharks, turtles and barracuda are regular sightings, and eagle rays may hang in the current. Divers Alert Network adds that large turtles often feed along the top of the reef. It belongs to the cluster of wall sites at Yap's southern tip.
