O'Keefe's Passage
Also known as: O'keefs Passage
A drift along the southern side of the entrance passes through many fish, and pelagics are common near the mouth. Between markers 8 and 10 a WWII landing craft (LCU) sits upright, its bow at about 12 m and stern at 18 m, with a torpedo in the sand behind it. In 1992 Yap Divers sank the Laura Marie, a former circus boat of about 25 m, beside the channel near marker 10 as a night dive for rough days. Black snapper and humphead parrotfish school here, and lobsters hide in the walls near the entrance.
