Lionfish Wall
The wall drops straight to around 40 m, then slopes to a ledge beyond 60 m before vanishing into the deep. Currents from both sides of the island meet here, and the steady supply of nutrients feeds dense coral and fish life. The face is carpeted with daisy corals and crinoids, and Divernet describes one section of overhangs sheltering several species of lionfish together. Thousands of Bartlett's anthias swarm along the top, where well-camouflaged leaf fish also hide. Mantas, eagle rays, turtles, sharks and big tuna pass in the blue.
