The Canyon
Also known as: The Canyon Reef
The mooring line is tied off at 11 to 13 m at the edge of a drop-off that reaches sand at 26 to 28 m. Glassfish and soft corals fill the overhangs and the arch, and ribbon eels are often found at a swim-through on the south side. Off the walls, divers meet bigeyes, jacks and rudderfish as well as large shoals of pelagic fish in open water, and white tip reef sharks are worth looking for when a current flows. Visibility is usually very good, which makes the site popular with photographers. It is also dived at night, when octopus and Spanish dancers come out.
