Urfeld
The entry follows the stairs down to the boat hire on the B11 in Urfeld, with parking across the road when it is not crowded. Under the jetty and on the slope below, a diver has arranged boats, canoes, a sunshade with deck chairs and other salvaged objects into a kind of underwater exhibition. Rowing boat wrecks lie deeper on the sediment bottom, and shoals of small perch gather under the jetty. Divers must keep to the right, because the intake of the Walchensee power plant to the left can create a strong pull and has a 50 m exclusion zone. A local dive school lists the site as diveable all year, apart from the summer ban at the Urfeld bathing area.
