Artificial Reef
The Artificial Reef off Dibba is a man-made site on a sandy bottom, meant to work like a natural reef. Its centre is a group of concrete pyramids and triangular blocks with many reef balls, and a rope leads to a small sunken fishing boat; old fishing cages lie further out. One-spot snappers, mackerel, batfish, groupers, Arabian angelfish and moray eels live in and around the structures, rays rest nearby and barracuda shoal around the outer part. At 15 to 16 m it gives Open Water divers a taste of wreck-like structure without a full wreck dive.
