Scoglio di Pietrabona
Also known as: Pietrabona
The cove once served ships loading the island's Ansonaco grapes, and old vineyard terraces are still visible on shore. The dive starts at the rock and follows walls covered in yellow gorgonians, encrusting sponges, tunicates and fan worms. Canyons between the walls shelter lobsters, groupers and resident fish. Pelagic life is abundant, especially dentex and gilthead bream, and an ocean sunfish may turn up with some luck.
