Swami Rock Nursery Reef

Also known as: Swami Rock Nursery Slope

This part of Swami Rock is named for the young fish that crowd its coral, which Trincomalee Bay Dive Center describes as a nursery for hundreds of tropical fish species. Sri Lanka Diving Tours lists it as the nursery slope of the rock and also stresses the great number of juvenile fish. The reef is used for beginners while still rewarding experienced divers. It is reached by a short boat ride of around 15 minutes from Uppuveli.
