Fort Frederick

Also known as: Fort Frederic · Ford Frederik · Fort Fredrick Point

The site lies just off Fort Frederick, the fort the Dutch built on the Trincomalee headland. Trincomalee Bay Dive Center describes an unusual rock formation with many anemones, coral reef and turtles. Sri Lanka Diving Tours highlights the big boulders and drop-offs at Fort Fredrick Point. On ScubaGo it is described as a coral reef that suits divers getting used to greater depth after their Open Water course. Boats reach it in about 15 minutes from Uppuveli beach.
