Coral Island
Also known as: Coral Island Irakkandy
Coral Island is a boat trip from the Trincomalee coast to a shallow reef near Irakkandy. Its main draw is the blacktip reef sharks, which Sri Lanka Diving Tours puts at 1.5 to 2 m long. Sri Lanka Diving Tours says the swim with the sharks suits beginners as well. Dive Trinco describes vibrant live corals, reef fish and turtles and runs it mainly as a snorkelling site.
