Pigeon Rocks
Also known as: Pigeon Rock
Pigeon Rocks lie within the Pigeon Island Marine National Park, so divers need a park entrance ticket. The rocks are surrounded by colourful corals and schools of fish, and PADI rates them as a shallow site for beginners. Their small life makes them a favourite with macro photographers: nudibranchs, shrimps, lionfish, scorpionfish, boxfish, cuttlefish and lobsters. Giant and yellow-edged moray eels, trevally, giant triggerfish and anemone fish are also common, and Dive Trinco mentions turtles and blacktip reef sharks.
