Masamirit

Also known as: Masamirit Island

Masamirit is a bush-covered island about 0.8 nautical miles long with a lighthouse near its southern end, and the seabed nearby falls beyond 350 m. A shallow plateau on the north side, full of coral heads, ends in a slope with large fan gorgonians where tuna, blacktip and scalloped hammerhead sharks pass. The east side is a steep, cave-pocked wall with schools of snappers and a plateau in its middle that descends from about 20 to 40 m. Blue Force and X-Ray Mag also describe dolphins and schools of barracuda here.
