Sail Rock
Sail Rock stands alone in open water south of St. Thomas Harbor. According to local legend a short-sighted captain once fired on it, taking the triangular rock for an enemy ship. Hard and soft corals cover the rock, and schooling horse-eye jacks, hawksbill and green turtles, lobsters and sharks gather around it. Intense open-ocean currents make it an advanced and very challenging dive.
