Miss Opportunity
The Miss Opportunity served as a hospital ship before she became an office complex, and was scuttled as an artificial reef in 1985 off the southwest of St. Thomas. She came to rest on her side, partly upside down, so lamps are found under the diver's fins and tables and fittings hang overhead. Many openings and broken sections give easy routes through several decks, which makes the wreck suitable for a multilevel dive. Barracuda, southern stingrays, horse-eye jacks, moray eels, turtles and a large resident grouper are reported. Her sheltered position means there is very little current.
