Major General Rogers

Also known as: General Rogers · Maj. General Rogers

The Major General Rogers was a Coast Guard buoy tender that now lies upright on the sand roughly halfway between St. Thomas and Thatch Cay. The stripped hull rises to about 40 ft, so divers can work along it from the propeller forward. Sponges and cup corals encrust the steel, and the wreck attracts plenty of fish. Dive centres also run it as a night dive but do not recommend it for beginners.
