Faille d'Arue

Also known as: The Arue Fault

The Faille d'Arue lies off Arue on Tahiti. TOPDIVE describes faults running perpendicular to the island and ending in a drop-off and wall. Table and brain corals are in good shape, and jacks, bonitos, groupers, parrotfish and moray eels are common. The dive can end through a grotto-like fault that opens onto a shallow plateau. The site is known for tiger shark sightings, although they are not guaranteed.
