Aquarium
The Aquarium lies in the lagoon on Tahiti's north-west coast close to the international airport. Small coral heads scattered on sand host typical lagoon fish such as damselfish, parrotfish, clownfish and cowfish. A Cessna 172 that crashed near the runway in 1995 was moved here and now rests on the bottom. The shallow water makes it a site for first dives, training and snorkelling.
