Zélée

The Zélée was an old gunboat bombed by the German navy on 22 September 1914. Its remains lie near the Papeete breakwater between 20 and 30 m. Eleuthera notes that a nurse shark often hides under the hull, with Napoleon wrasse and schools of snappers around. In calm weather divers can reach the foot of the breakwater through small canyons.
