Koh Bon Ridge

Also known as: Koh Bon West Ridge

The stepped ridge of Koh Bon continues underwater into deep water, covered in soft corals in pastel shades and hard corals. Manta rays come to the cleaning station on the ridge, and leopard sharks rest on the sand below. Turtles, lobsters, moray eels, batfish and rainbow runners are common. Currents are usually moderate to strong and down currents can occur near the deep part of the ridge, so drift diving experience helps. Koh Bon belongs to Mu Ko Similan National Park, which is open only from mid-October to mid-May.
