Anita's Reef
Coral bommies and boulders are scattered over a sandy slope that runs from the gap between Islands 5 and 6 towards the south. The centrepiece is a huge bommie, called Hin Muan Deaw in Thai, that rises from about 20 metres to about 12 metres and is covered in soft corals, sea fans and swarms of glassfish. Garden eels, blue-spotted stingrays and shrimp gobies live on the sand around it. Conditions are usually calm, so dive guides use the site to check their divers at the start of a trip.
