Tuna Wreck
The fibreglass fishing boat, about 30 metres long, was sunk deliberately to create a new dive site and is marked by a buoy. It rests on its side between about 28 and 40 metres, close to Hideaway Bay. Soft corals, gorgonians and large shoals of glassfish now cover the hull, with triggerfish, angelfish and blue-spotted stingrays around it. Schools of longfin batfish and trevally hunt the glassfish, and turtles are common in the area. Because of the depth, bottom time is short and the no-decompression limit needs watching.
