I Picchi
Also known as: Picchi
The two pinnacles climb from a white sandy bottom to just below the surface, and the usually clear water makes them look like underwater mountains. Near the deepest part, around 26 m, there are fragments of amphorae from a Roman-era wreck, and large dusky groupers live among the rocks. Red gorgonians grow further out on the deeper section, where a resident school of dentex often hunts. The upper parts of the pinnacles hold crabs, shrimps and nudibranchs. A narrow canyon through the rock is a common last passage before the ascent.
