Access needs a key and an entrance fee, and stone steps lead to the pond with tables nearby. The basin is clear from late October to early April and covered by algae the rest of the year. The line descends through a duck-under and a slope of organic silt to a T at about 12 m, and the halocline lies at about 18 m. Upstream lines lead to the Muknal Siphon, the Sun Cenote and Mayan Blue, while the downstream side holds the deep saltwater passages including the Swiss siphon.
