Cape Kri

Also known as: Tapor Tamiyam

Cape Kri sits at the eastern tip of Kri Island, a minute by boat from the Kri Eco Resort, and holds the record of 374 fish species counted on one dive. Shallow coral gardens with sandy patches give way to a drop-off and a steadily sloping reef. Divers usually drift with the current along the reef while fusiliers, snappers and trevallies close in around them. Dogtooth tuna, chevron barracuda, Napoleon wrasse, whitetip reef sharks and giant groupers are regular sights, and pygmy seahorses hide among the corals. The current varies from mild to strong, so dive centres plan the entry around the tide.
