Pileh Wall
Also known as: Phi Leh Wall · Piley Wall
The wall starts at the southern entrance of the lagoon and continues along the island, with a sandy bottom between about 11 and 20 m. Soft corals, gorgonian fans and barrel sponges cover the rock, and the light falling on the wall is a highlight of the dive. Hawksbill turtles feed on the bubble coral, moray eels and lionfish hide in the cracks, and leopard sharks and blue-spotted rays are found on the sand. Small caves along the wall are not for entry without training, and outlying pinnacles near the end have healthy coral. Being on the east side, it is a useful site in the May to October monsoon when the wind comes from the west.
