Sharm Shuni
Also known as: Sharm Shoona
The dive starts with a walk of about 25 m over the back reef table, followed by a short snorkel to the pool or, at low tide, a jump straight into it. The notch in the reef hides pits, canyons and small caves. Red Sea Diving Safari recommends the site at high tide with wind no stronger than force 3, as surface current in the pool can be strong. The name refers to the notch in the reef and to a local legend of a pharaoh's exiled physician.
