Halg Salmaan
Also known as: Haig Suliman
The name translates as Salmaan's throat, after the narrow inlet with its sandy floor. Hard coral walls border it to the north and south, and the south side is dived in calm weather while the north side is more sheltered. Emperor describes a wall with overhangs, cracks and swim-throughs, a small deep canyon and a large pinnacle on one side, and a pinnacle full of juvenile fish on the other. Scorpionfish are common in the shallows, and eagle rays, snappers and a large Napoleon wrasse are reported. The site sees relatively few divers.
