German Flag

Also known as: Toro Bendera

According to Lotus Liveaboards, the site is named after a big soft coral whose colours once matched the German flag. Rocks and boulders form the slope, and whip corals grow in its deeper part. Potato cod, malabar groupers, Napoleon wrasse, red snappers and schooling surgeonfish shelter among the blocks, while whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays and bumphead parrotfish appear along the edge. In the plankton season, from September to January, manta rays feed close to the shore. There is usually current, so the dive is normally drifted.
