Oriental

Also known as: The Boiler Wreck

The wreck lies about 100 yards from the beach, perpendicular to shore with the bow towards land, opposite the Pea Island visitor centre. It can easily be snorkelled in 15 to 20 ft of water. Tidal flow from Oregon Inlet makes currents strong, so high tide and calm seas give the best conditions. Small boats fish the spot, so a dive flag is strongly advised.
