Popolcan
Also known as: Popolkan · Popolkan Forest · Popolcan Reef · Pupulkan
Popolcan is a rocky outcrop in the south of Bacuit Bay, about 45 minutes by boat from El Nido. Its attraction is a group of pinnacles at around 22 to 32 m on the sandy bottom, covered in soft corals and sea fans, which operators call the underwater forest. Glassfish swirl around the pinnacles, lionfish wait for prey, and schools of barracuda and yellow snappers pass over. Large and unusual nudibranchs, shrimps and octopus reward macro photographers. Divers finish in the shallower reef by the island, where turtles are common. Operators reserve it for experienced divers because of the depth.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
