Bubble Beach
The site lies in front of an old Indonesian military memorial on the coast road to Liquica. Gas pockets beneath the seabed release bubbles and warm water through the sand, which gives the site its name. Large bommies and huge sponges shelter crabs, shrimps and nudibranchs, while blue-spotted stingrays rest on the sand. Garden eels, barracuda and occasional sharks have been reported. Divernet and Wikivoyage note that a fence has made shore access difficult, so it is worth checking access with a local dive centre first.
