Santa Marija Caves
Also known as: Comino Caves · Ghemieri Caves · Santa Maria Caves
Several caves sit side by side in a small cliff-lined inlet, and dive guides count at least ten of them, each with a different shape. Some are partly above water, so divers can surface in air pockets lit by holes in the roof. Sunlight falling through cracks and openings makes the caverns a favourite of underwater photographers. Outside one of the exits a cut in the rock shaped like the letter Z forms a well-known swim-through, and an arch lies nearby. The sandy inlet is home to hundreds of saddled bream that have long been fed by divers and crowd around anyone who enters. One of the caves was a filming location of the 2002 film The Count of Monte Cristo.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
