Artificial Reef

Also known as: Artificial Reefs

The reef was built by the Cyprus Dive Centre Association together with the Fisheries Department and completed in 2015 to give marine life a breeding ground. Its elements, including a rope pyramid, large concrete blocks with crevices, piles of stone blocks and concrete pipes, are linked by a guide line along the seabed so divers can follow them in sequence. Schools of amberjack and barracuda, rainbow wrasse, groupers, moray eels and octopus are typical, and turtles feed in the surrounding seagrass. The site combines easily with the two neighbouring wrecks.
