DeCosta Bay

Also known as: Da Costa · De Costa Bay · Da Costa Bay · Dacosta Bay

A path down a sandy slope leads to a small beach with calm turquoise water and an easy walk-in entry. The flat, sandy seabed with seagrass and small rock formations suits beginners, and green turtles are often met only a few metres deep. Toward the mouth of the bay a rocky area holds statues of a mermaid, a lion and a dwarf, while the right side has submerged objects and swim-throughs for buoyancy practice. Cuttlefish lay their eggs in the thick seagrass at the far end, and schools of barracuda, seahorses and octopus are also seen.
