Paramount
Also known as: Paramount Reefs
Reaching the entry takes some effort: the approach uses the same dirt track as Konnos Point and Cyclops, then a side track and a walk of about 150 m over uneven ground, and a four-wheel-drive vehicle is advised. Divers go in with a giant stride and swim out through the rock formations to two reefs that run parallel to each other, one at about 7 m and a deeper one beside it. A sandy area at the start of the reefs and a flat sand patch between them are used for training. The usual route drops from about 4 m to around 11 m, looks into the trenches and under the rocks, and returns shallower along the coastline. Dive guides single out flying gurnards, octopus and moray eels here, and also name bream, damselfish, ornate wrasse and cornetfish as frequent.
