Green Bay
Calm water without currents or waves and an easy walk-in entry have made Green Bay the standard confined-water and first-dive site of the Protaras dive centres. The seabed mixes rocks, colourful pebbles, seagrass and sand flats. A rock near the exit of the bay, called Fish Rock, attracts large schools of bream and is used as a fish-feeding stop. At around 9 to 10 m divers find a small park of statues and columns modelled on ancient Greek monuments, and broken ancient amphorae lie fused into the rocks. Turtles, octopus, cuttlefish, seahorses and pipefish are regular sightings.
