Liberty Wreck

The ship was sunk by the local dive centre association with the approval of the authorities to create a dedicated wreck dive, and it lies a five-minute boat ride from the Golden Coast fishing shelter. Its three cargo holds are open and connected, and the small bridge at the stern can be entered, which makes it a common first wreck and training dive. Near the wreck stand a two-metre cross placed by the Russian explorer Feodor Konyukhov and a statue of the Mother of God added later. Bright anemones cover the deck, and groupers, moray eels, lionfish, nudibranchs and schools of amberjack or barracuda are seen around it.
