Wolf Point

Also known as: Kurt Burnu · The Wolfs Point

Wolf Point, Kurt Burnu in Turkish, lies at the southern tip of Görece Island on the stretch of coast between Bodrum and Bitez, only about 15 minutes by boat from Bodrum. After seagrass, the rocky seabed starts at about three metres and slopes gradually into deeper water. Divers find broken amphorae, an old anchor around 15 metres and an old car at 8 to 10 metres that now serves as an artificial reef. Octopus, scorpionfish, groupers, stingrays, moray eels and soldierfish are common. Dive centres consider it suitable for all levels but warn of boat traffic and reverse current on the way back.
