Fridge Bay
Also known as: Fridge Bodrum
Fridge Bay lies beside the lighthouse at the north-west of Karaada, about 20 minutes by boat from Bodrum. It offers two routes: a gentle sloping one on the left of the bay that suits beginners, and a deeper one for advanced divers between 18 and 30 metres. The deeper route leads to rock outcrops in the middle of the bay, surrounded by seagrass, which need an experienced guide to find. Large cracked rocks shelter many creatures, and dentex, barracuda, cuttlefish and octopus are seen. Fragments of amphorae lie scattered around the site.
