Taunton
She was bound for St. George's from Norfolk, Virginia, when fog closed in at the entrance to the northern passage through the reefs. The wreck lies broken up over the reef at an average of about 20 ft, which makes it a good site for both divers and snorkellers. The upright engine and boilers are very photogenic. Her bell was recovered by Teddy Tucker and later appeared as a prop in the film The Deep.
