Montana

Also known as: Nola

The fast steamer had sailed under several names, among them Nola, Gloria and Paramount, while running cargo between England, Bermuda and North Carolina. Her bow is still recognisable, her engine stands upright, and two paddlewheel frames lie on their sides on the seabed. Hard and soft corals cover the remains. The Constellation sank roughly 50 ft away about 80 years later, and the pair inspired Peter Benchley's novel The Deep. The buoyed site is also visited by glass-bottom boats and snorkellers.
