Sandy Slope
Sandy Slope lies between Coral Garden and Dream Wall on Menjangan Island. Blue Season Bali starts in only about 1.5 m of water on white sand, which makes it a favourite for Discover Scuba and Open Water students. Broad stretches of sand alternate with coral patches and healthy reef, and toward the north the slope gets steeper and ends in a drop-off of around 40 m. Batfish, moray eels, angelfish and turtles are common, and gorgonians at about 20 m are searched for pygmy seahorses. Currents are usually weak and visibility often exceeds 20 m.
