Cedar Pride
The ship was launched in Spain in 1964 and sailed under several names before a fire in 1982 killed two crew members and left it a hulk at anchor. On the initiative of the Jordanian royal family it was cleaned and sunk on 16 November 1985 to give divers a wreck. Because it rests across two reefs, divers can swim beneath the hull, with the deepest point of the swim-through around 26 m. Soft corals and sea fans cover the masts and crow's nest, and a lifeboat near the stern often shelters marine life. Trained wreck divers can enter parts of the interior, and the site is a favourite night dive for octopus, morays and Spanish dancers.
