South Canyon

Below the descent line a small grotto shelters many juvenile fish and a resident giant moray eel, and glassfish fill the overhangs. Cornetfish hover over the reef top while barracuda, batfish and jacks patrol the edge, sometimes setting off feeding frenzies joined by groupers and longnose emperors. Large Napoleon wrasse are seen now and then. Lionfish hide under the deeper overhangs, and the shallow end of the dive is good for nudibranchs and camouflaged octopus.
